Product Used For: 6 Months
Product Strengths:A simple, small and light product that no outback rider should be without. Its a snap to fit and if your chain breaks when you are far from home you will be very glad that you have one or two of these in your backpack.
Product Weaknesses:None really. Can be used with most chains.

IMHO, not strong enough for STRONG clydesdale riders. I've broken 2 so far. Rider buddies heavier than me (230+) curse them, but wish they could use them too. I do keep a couple in my gear bag for chain breakages. They get me back on the trail very quick!
Lighter riders I know love them. 4 stars for a great concept.
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:Convenient. It will also fit an 8-speed chain in a pinch.
Product Weaknesses:Strength/reliability.
My Bike:XTR/Dura-Ace 9-speed Chain

I agree with the reviewer below, I have used these with great success on Shimano XTR chains. I always carry an extra one in my tool kit when riding, it's saved me from walking a number of times. I think the Sram chains stretch too much but I like their links!
Product Used For: 2 or More Years

Alex a XC Rider from Flagstaff, Az writes:
I have used these gold links with Shimano 7700/1 chains for years. I have never had a failure and it makes cleaning a snap. I replace the middle ring, cassette and two chains with Sram power links at the same time. I rotate the chain every 100 miles or so, letting the dirty one soak in citrus solvent. The whole drive train lasts longer and when both chains are stretched out, I replace the cassette, chains and middle ring again.
Product Used For: 2 or More Years
Product Strengths:compatible with Shimano chains. I have never had a failure.
Product Weaknesses:none known
